Schloss Hellbrunn, Salzburg

TL/DR: this place is not for me or for small kids, but if you like palaces and history, then it might worth a visit. This palace was a disappointment for us. We choose this because my kids like fountains so we thought the tour will be great for them. Unfortunately it wasn't, because it was not about watching beautiful fountain show. Instead, the "entertainment" is that the guide splashes water from hidden tubes to the visitors. We found it really annoying, even the children hated it. The second part of the program is to visit the palace with the provided audio guide. If you're into history maybe you will like it, but we didn't. All that I remember is that there was an arrogant bishop who forced everyone to work for them, and ruined their life just for fun. I felt sorry for everyone who had to live with him. The castle is well maintained and the visit is free with Salzburg card. Guided tours starts about three times an hour. Parking is for fee next to the entrance, but there are some free parking places halfway between the palace and the zoo, next to the road.

Water features are interesting and fun. Beautiful gardens which are free to enter. Would be the ideal place for a family picnic as children's parks are also here. Cafe's are also at the house
