Trip Planner: Europe / Belarus / Minsk / The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus
Explore one of the largest collections of Belarusian and foreign art at The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. Opened in 1939, the museum moved to its present two-story building with 10 spacious halls in 1957. It houses over 27,000 works of art. When you visit, leave your bags in the cloakroom downstairs and get an audio guide at the museum shop. As you wander the museum, notice the portraits of grand dukes and their families. You'll see heroic revolutionary art, including evocative pictures of Minsk, which was devastated by bombing. The museum also features a vast collection of modern art, as well as Asian art from the 14th-20th centuries. Amenities include a cafe and a shop selling postcards, books, and other souvenirs. The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus Reviews
Я много раз бывала в этом музее, часто прихожу сюда, потому что каждый раз открываю для себя что-то новое. Вот и вчера я решила посмотреть новые выставки и узнать новых художников. Хочу сказать, что м... more »I have been to this museum many times, i often come here, because every time I discover something new. Yesterday I decided to see new exhibitions and get to know new artists. I want to say that the museum is located in two buildings, one of which exists since the day of its founding and is a classic museum. The second task - modern, transparent, with glass ceilings opening the sky. The museum presents the fine art of both the west and the east, the beautiful painting of Russian artists: Kuinji, Aivazovsky, Vasnetsov, Makovsky, Vrubel and many others. But it's a classic. In the gallery between the two buildings, there is always a...
Хорошая картинная галерея. Представлены экспонаты разных эпох и народов. С аудиогидом можно узнать многое из истории Беларуси. Картин ооочень много, здание огромное. There are a lot of paintings, the building is huge. There are also icons and contemporary art. Audio guide can take 1 in 3-5 people or even more, because there are not headphones, and a kind of remote-column and it can be turned on loudly enough. There is no point in paying for photography separately, because no one even checks it, everyone just goes and takes pictures. In general, loved it, the prices are low, the certificate confirming that you are a schoolboy or a student do not ask, take your word for it.
Unfortunately big part of museum was closed for reconstruction when visited this place. But I still loved everything I saw and recommend everyone to visit this museum. I honestly can't wait to come back and still whole place. Entrance fee is only 6rubles which is approximately $3
