See the biggest bell in Belarus, weighing 4,716 kg (5.2 tons), in a belfry of Uspensky Cathedral. The first cathedral was erected in the 18th century on the site of a smaller church and much earlier pagan shrine. It was destroyed and rebuilt many times. Climb to the observation deck to get an aerial view of the city. On the north wall of the cathedral, you'll discover a memorial plate dedicated to people whose remains were found on site during the restoration works. They were most likely victims of the Soviet secret police or the Gestapo. The remains are buried near the church. Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus consecrated the new cathedral in 2011.
