#1 of 61 in Parks in Berlin
Covering more than 210 hectares (520 acres) through the center of the city, Großer Tiergarten is one of Germany's largest urban parks. Its beginnings trace back to the 16th century, when the area was designated as a royal hunting zone. Later, as the city expanded and the hunting grounds shrank, the park became a popular relaxation area for the general public. Today, the Spree river and a number of important architectural landmarks border the sprawling park grounds. Look in the middle of the park for a large square with a tall column that the locals the Great Star. It was placed here in 1864 to celebrate Prussia's victory over Denmark. Stop by the park to take a stroll, picnic, cycle, jog, or play soccer with the local crowd. • A beautiful park is a real green forest right in the center of the city. You can walk, enjoy the air and silence. Not for a must-visit, but you can combine the pleasant with the helpful if you walk.

  • Beautiful large (wide, to be more precise) park. Imagine a very beautiful park in which you were - it will be the same impression. Very pleasant air and dense trees, many benches. There are various beautiful monuments. While walking, we found a free toilet. Although the park is not small, but in fact it would not take a lot of time to get through it. At the weekend on the street near the park there is a flea market.
  • The mall is lovely and anyone near should definitely visit without a doubt. Although the food hall prices are extortionate there is a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. The architecture without a doubt is superb as you would expect with a German establishment. I would not recommend buying food here as the prices are very rough but I would definitely recommend for visiting the plethora of high end shops inside the building. Most shops inside are not as expensive as you would think and in contrast to the food hall they are very cheap and the prices are considerably good.
