  • The main reason we've visited this museum was to see Ishtar Gate. Just as we expected it was incredible! Even by itself, it was worth the money. Also, we had not seen Babylon artefacts previously, so ...  more »
  • Major construction of the antique that you can see in its entirety. Very interesting and entertaining with a free audioguide in Spanish. The penalty is that in March 2018 is in works and more than half of the Museum closed... I'll have to go back...

  • One of the museums on the museum island it was the only museum that I needed to queue up and wait around 5 in Sunday to get to the museum, which has 1:1 of the city walls of Barcelona, and the model of Bobby London leading to the Royal palace.) The building of the road is to see the city wall has been worth back to the price of the ticket

  • Yes it gets warm when the temp is anything over 24 and yes there are queues but both are worth seeing the treasures inside, particularly the Ishtar Gate. We had been to the British Museum which complements this collection perfectly. Art, jewelry, architecture and carving from long ago all housed in a beautiful and well organised museum. Half the museum is being renovated but still the visit is worth every cent.
  • Way too hot!!! But nice exhibition though. But why can I give no more stars than 3? When I think, everything exhibited in the museum is from other countries, I feel, it's just not right. I feel the same with British Museum in London, Louvre in Paris and Glyptothek in Munich...
  • This is an AMAZING museum! You can learn so much here and there are SO many things to see! Additionally you feel like you are in that time, since there are giant and beautiful historic architectures that you can walk through! All in all this is a wonderful museum, where you can learn more, see beautiful history and not be bored!
  • Some of the museum pieces are truly beautiful piece of history of mankind. Among them the best one was certainly the Ishtar gate. However, apart for the big pieces, the rest is quite poor and not very interesting. One of the major problem was probably with the audio guide which was quite boring and rarely explain anything about the history and functionality of each piece. Moreover, most of the labels for pieces not covered in the audio guide were only in German and I think that this is a bit ridiculous. Honestly, given the fact the that at the moment the Pergamon altar is not visible due to maintenance, I believe that the price of the ticket (12€) is a bit high.
  • Incredibly detailed museum of precious artefacts from Babylon, Egypt, Greece and Rome of the past. The reconstruction of the gates of Ishtar from Babylon and the City Gates is truly a sight to behold. On museum island with lots of other interesting museums too. About 12 euro for one museum or 18 for them all. This is definitely the best one to visit out of them all. 5 out of 5 for me
