Standing astride the capital's grandest ceremonial road, India Gate pays tribute to the soldiers of the colonial Indian Army who lost their lives fighting for Britain in World War I. In the heart of the capital's main governmental district, the triumphal arch-style gate rises to a height of 42 m (138 ft) over the road below. Wander around the base of the gate to see the imposing stone structure up close, and be sure to look up at the cornices to see the inscriptions dedicated to more than 82,000 Indian soldiers who died fighting in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and elsewhere between 1914 and 1919. Don't miss seeing the small memorial beneath the gate's archway, a flame dedicated to the unknown soldier. There is also a type of water sport in India Gate which is known as sailing. This is an ideal place for everyone to enjoy their nightlife because India's gate is one of the best places to go to India during the night. The decoration around the wonderful gate, lights and aroma makes an ideal place for any birthday party or open air small music events. The Parliament House is located opposite the entrance of India, and thus one can benefit from enjoying the view of two amazing buildings at the same time. These were some of the advantages of visiting the Great India Gate in New Delhi, which is the capital of India. India Gate has plenty to give to its visitors, but still, it is seen that different people think that this place is quite boring. But once the person touches the monumental monuments, he will definitely fall in love with it.

Maintenance is good. Lot of variety in snacks. Tourism department isn't doing good in maintenance and providing infra. The biggest problem is the traffic around the place. Traffic should be diverted. This is the pride of the country. So, the maintenance of path ways, the cleanliness, the discipline and the composure should be cultivated by governance of the place. Toilets are ugly. Anyone can walk over any bushes and spoil the place Beautiful garden. Huge clean with lots of flowers trees. It has got many entrances and ample parking outside. Good place to click pictures and have great family outing and picnics. Good for morning walk for fresh air.
