Sitting on the waterfront of Lake Pichola, Bagore Ki Haveli Museum is a traditional, 18th-century townhouse built by Amar Chand Badwa, the former prime minister of Mewar. Today, this restored mansion houses various collections of costumes and modern art, exhibited in many rooms adorned with intricate mirror work. Among the private quarters of the royal ladies, look for the exceptional colored glass mosaics depicting two peacocks, and the queen's chamber that boasts examples of Mewar wall-painting. In the evening, you can enjoy hour-long shows of traditional Rajasthan music and dance in the atmospheric setting of the mansion's courtyard.     It's a perfect place to watch folk dance in Udaipur. It's located near lake pichola and easily accessible while walking. It has limited seating capacity so I would suggest you to stand early in line.....  more »

    Amazing cultural show Dec 25 evening: This is an amazing cultural, dance and puppet show organized and performed very well. This is within the Bagore ki haveli and if you want the best seats, then be in the queue early as the seating is on first come basis. The performance is in the open area within the haveli. The seating is on chairs, benches and ground - actually every place where you can find a place. One of the highlights is the balancing act done by the main performer who balances the matkas on her head - the act is where after every dance, a matka gets added on top.

    A must-see in Udaipur. Beautiful introduction to Rajasthani folk dances, a pleasure to watch for the whole family. Lasts 1hr so quite suitable for kids too.
