Rising from the ocean like a rocky crown, the World Heritage Site of Seongsan Ilchulbong stands as a testament to the region's ancient volcanic activity. Formed nearly 5,000 years ago by an eruption, the formation, known as a "tuff cone," features sheer walls with a depressed center. Hike your way up to the top of the raised crater, which stands 180 m (591 ft) high and has a diameter of nearly 600 m (1,969 ft), and look out over the rugged interior. You'll also get to enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding ocean and coastline from the rim. • We went there directly from the airport via bus (because it was too early for us to check in at our booked hotel). At the place, the lockers were not available, unfortunately, and we cannot leave...

  • This place is just a little hike for most. It does have about 300 steps up, but they are set up for a nice pace. Great views up and down, but not much to the crater itself. During morning this place.....  more

  • It's one of the most memorable moments in this Jeju trip. It's a well-reserved UNESCO heritage. Not a difficult route to climb up. But if you go there during summer, it'll be a bit humid and you will be so sweaty climbing up all those stairs. Nice place to visit with your beloved one because you can be surrounded by the sea and enjoy a peaceful moment together
