Cartuja de Miraflores, Burgos

4.6
Natural History Museum · Religious Site
Once the summer residence of the Spanish monarchy, Cartuja de Miraflores is a peaceful monastery with breathtaking interiors. Although there are monks that reside and study here in a life of silence, you will probably never see them. There is plenty more to discover, however. Some highlights include the intricate altarpiece and the royal mausoleum of King John II and his wife. Don’t miss the video depicting artwork once stolen from the monastery. Getting here can be difficult without private transportation, but it’s possible to take a bus and walk a short distance to the attraction. Take a look at our Burgos online trip planner to schedule your visit to Cartuja de Miraflores and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • A must Visit, the visits in 3/4 of hour and it is worth to see it with tranquility. They Do Not charge entrance, so you will have to be generous as it is a source of income along with the little things they sell at the entrance.
