  • Beautiful basilica with artwork by Goya. Not too busy, even during the high season. Would be nice to have more information in English on the construction and history especially of NS de Pilar although Google translate did a very good job. Goya painted a fresco inside one of the cupolas but it isn't quite clear where that is; however you can see the artist's preliminary sketches in display, which is something. The roof is worth viewing from the other side, by the stone bridge, where you can appreciate it in its entirety.
  • Magnificent temple, inside is extremely rich in gold and silver, unique paintings and architectural detailing. Really impressive. Can not photograph the interior, an almost impossible task for the security guards, to scold the hundreds of mad tourists at the best angle.
