The multicultural Cluj-Napoca is the capital of the historic region of Transylvania.
Appreciate the collections at Petry Museum and Workshop and Muzeul de Istorie Turda. Popular historic sites such as Citadel of Alba Iulia and Roman Castrum Ruins are in your itinerary. Venture out of the city with trips to Aiud Citadel (in Aiud), Coltesti Castle Ruins (in Coltesti) and Alba Iulia (Traseul Celor Trei Fortificatii, Obeliscul lui Horea, Closca si Crisan, & more). There's still lots to do: explore the different monuments and memorials at Hazsongard Cemetery, look for all kinds of wild species at Cheile Turzii - Turda Gorge, take in the spiritual surroundings of Reformed Church of Cluj-Napoca, and see the interesting displays at Zoology Museum.

For where to stay, photos, ratings, and more tourist information, refer to the Cluj-Napoca online itinerary planner .

If you are flying in from Sweden, the closest major airports are Cluj-Napoca International Airport, Transilvania Târgu Mureş International Airport and Sibiu International Airport. In June in Cluj-Napoca, expect temperatures between 29°C during the day and 15°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
