Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Seongsan Ilchulbong in Seogwipo, approximately Seogwipo away. There's still lots to do: explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, go for a walk through Handam Coastal Trail, enjoy the sand and surf at Hyeopjae Beach, and explore the world behind art at Trick Art Museum Korea.

Chennai, India to Jeju is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 3.5 hours traveling from Chennai to Jeju. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Thu) to allow enough time to fly to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 5th (Fri), enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggungsa, and then get great views at Taejongdae.

Getting from Jeju to Busan by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In November, daytime highs in Busan are 18°C, while nighttime lows are 6°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Gyeongju.

Gyeongju

Museum Without Walls

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sat): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple and then pause for some photo ops at Seokguram. On your second day here, examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum and then explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Busan in November, you will find days in Gyeongju are a bit cooler (10°C), and nights are about the same (8°C). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Andong.

Andong

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
On the 8th (Mon), take in the spiritual surroundings of Bongjeongsa and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Andong Hahoe Folk Village.
