You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Fisherman's Bastion and Hősök tere. Escape the urban bustle at Danube River and Ram Szakadek. There's lots more to do: head off the coast to Margaret Island, look for all kinds of wild species at Sas Hill Nature Reserve, head outdoors with City Park Városliget, and admire nature's wide array of creatures at Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden.

Salvador, Brazil to Budapest is an approximately 19.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 4 hours traveling from Salvador to Budapest. When traveling from Salvador in May, plan for a bit cooler days in Budapest, with highs around 25°C, while nights are much colder with lows around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) early enough to take a train to Vienna.

Kick off your visit on the 15th (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Stephen's Cathedral, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Mary's on the Bank (Maria Am Gestade), then stroll through Schönbrunn Zoo, and finally explore the galleries of Belvedere Palace. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the masterpieces at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, get to know the fascinating history of Ringstrasse, and then see the interesting displays at Imperial Palace (Hofburg).

Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.
Get some cultural insight at Nymphenburg Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like St. Peter's Church and Herrenchiemsee New Palace. Step out of Munich with an excursion to Wies Church in Steingaden--about 1h 20 min away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at English Garden and get curious at Deutsches Museum.
