Grodno
The capital city of the region of the same name, Grodno (also called Hrodna) was built around the river flowing through it, and is known as a hub for the arts celebrating both modern and classical culture with three major theaters, a philharmonic society, and a multitude of museums.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Wed): see the interesting displays at Pharmacy Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Jesuit Catholic Church, then go for a walk through Sovetskaya Street, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kalozha Church Boris-Gleb Church, and finally explore the ancient world of The Old Castle. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Great Choral Synagogue, see the interesting displays at The Watchtower of the fire department and a Fire Museum, then walk around Zhiliber's Park, then pause for some serene contemplation at Holy Intercession Cathedral, and finally get to know the resident critters at Grodno Zoo.

In April, plan for daily highs up to 13°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
