City of Seven Hills

Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Museu Calouste Gulbenkian and Museu de Lisboa - Teatro Romano will appeal to museum buffs. Get a sense of the local culture at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos and Quinta da Regaleira. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lisbon: Sintra (Castelo dos Mouros & Park and National Palace of Pena). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Castelo de S.
