As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Fri): stroll around Victory Park, make a trip to Independence Square, Minsk, and then step into the grandiose world of Mir Castle. Keep things going the next day: brush up on your military savvy at Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, pause for some photo ops at Island of Tears, then get lost in a book at National Library of Belarus, then see the interesting displays at Museum Strana Mini, and finally don't miss a visit to Victory Square.

Vilnius, Lithuania to Minsk is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or fly. The time zone difference when traveling from Vilnius to Minsk is 1 hour. In April, plan for daily highs up to 13°C, and evening lows to 2°C. You will have some time to spend on the 12th (Sun) before leaving for Brest.

A sharp contrast to the capital of Minsk, Brest is a city filled with fortress ruins, old culture, and medieval history.
When in Brest, make a side trip to see Bielaviežskaja pušča National Park in Kamianiuki, approximately 54 minutes away. The adventure continues: take an in-depth tour of Memorial Complex Brest Hero-Fortress, don't miss a visit to Brest Railway Station Building, see the interesting displays at Brest Railway Museum, and pause for some photo ops at Happy Boot.

Take a train from Minsk to Brest in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 15°C in April, and nighttime lows around 5°C. You'll have a few hours on the 15th (Wed) to wrap things up before traveling home.
