Learn about the discovery of chocolate and then get to taste it in its finished product at Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate (Musee du Cacao et du Chocolat). The museum was formed by Gabrielle Draps, who comes from a long lineage of chocolate artisans and is also the wife of Godiva Chocolatier's founder. As you go through the museum, you will learn about the early Mayans and their discovery of chocolate. Next you will discover the processes that cocoa goes through to become chocolate. Then you can go through the exhibits of chocolate figurines. Finish off with the highly recommended demonstration of how pralines are made. • Forget other cocoa museums in different countries - they're tourist traps! This place is amazing, it demonstrates the process of cocoa manufacturing with a blend of history and modern technology.
  • A rather nice moment spent with friends, we were able to discover a lot of things about cocoa. The tour is well organized with a scanner system that launches an audio track based on the objects in front of you. Mini games are also offered that will earn you points that you will see at the end of the visit on a ranking board. A demonstration of chocolate making will be presented to you and you will be able to taste them. I recommend visiting this museum.
