Create an itinerary including Alexanderplatz
In the 1970s, Alexanderplatz became the centerpiece of East Germany's modern socialist approach to architecture and city planning. Alex, as many locals call it, has lived many lives over the centuries, including cattle market, military parade ground, center stage of one of the largest anti-government demonstrations in the country's history, and modern transportation hub. The square's name honors Tsar Alexander I of Russia, who visited the city in 1805. Today, the square attracts tourists with its iconic clock, a rotating installation displaying time around the globe. The nearby TV tower, the city's highest structure, features a popular rotating viewing platform. • Large area with lots to look at. I walked around with my partner for a few hours in the drizzle through markets, shopping centres, and pop up food stands. You can make an afternoon out of all the monuments in the local area as well, would recommend.
  • Alexanderplatz ! Shopping Destination with 100 Brand Shops and food Chain with full Crowd than other part of City. Also Good for Window Shopping 😀I visit twice to find some stuff but unfortunately can’t find.Over all good 👍 place to visit
