  • Great place to explore the history of Greece, Rome and more. I recommend to have audio because there are lots of statues. Reading them one by one will be hard.

  • Very interesting museum, pretty large one too. We bought our tickets online in advance and didnt wait in any line. It's required to leave your bags in luggage storage, the service is free of charge of course. The museum is beautiful and compelling, very well organized and comfortable to get around. One staff member did laugh at me when my partner took photos of me, but other than that our visit was a lot of fun:)
  • We visited the Altes Museum while waiting for our time slot at the Pergamon. One shouldn’t compare the two museums but we were equally impressed by the Altes Museum. The collection is huge and the range in history equally grand. The building is beautiful and makes the visit even more enjoyable. Don’t miss standing in the middle of the circular hall and speaking, nice audio effect. The Greek gods on display in the circular hall made it a very special experience. We spent about 90 minutes in the museum and were very happy that we decided to visit. It was well worth the visit and we highly recommend it to anyone, including people who don’t usually go to museums.
