Create an itinerary including Gemaldegalerie
Spend time with the world's leading collections of European paintings--and the largest collection of Rembrandt pieces--at Gemaldegalerie. This museum in the heart of Berlin features more than 3,000 European artworks from the 13th through 18th centuries. You can wander chronologically through the exhibits, admiring the works of renowned artists such as Botticelli, Dürer, and Titan. Because of the museum's sheer size, the onsite bistro makes for a nice stop between galleries. • Certainly one of the world's premier collections. Everything you would wish for from the period represented. Well lit and good information so an enjoyable experience for several hours viewing. Only...

  • Great place for art lovers and lovers of renaissance art and oil paintings. Students get half price off. If not a student, I am unsure whether this is a gallery worth visiting to pay full price for unless you are a true art enthusiast.
  • The museum is brilliant and has many great pieces of art. You can find Botticelli, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Vermeer and even Bruegel there. I have spent around three or four hours watching them and exposition of Donatello which is showing the born of Renaissance. But the minus I hate (which was also in the national art gallery of Berlin) is that there is was no any tablets below/next to the paintings and sculptures where I could find out information about the history of a painting or it’s description.
