Create an itinerary including Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz
The site of the infamous Nazi Wannsee Conference, Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz was reopened as a Holocaust museum in 1992, after having first served as a school. Historian Joseph Wulf recommended that the site be converted into a Holocaust museum and memorial in 1965, but the German government claimed there was a lack of funding. Today, the permanent exhibits of photographs, documents planning the Holocaust, texts, and films remind visitors of the immense tragedy and explain how it happened. • House of the Wansee Conference travels visitors back to the 20th century and lets them see a small part of what was going on in the political elite of the Germany during WW2. Thus, it is quite interesting historical site. Keep in mind that it is open only from 10am to 6pm.
  • I didnt know about this place until I saw it on a history trip itinerary. I learnt a lot, it was quite overwhelming and shocking to think that men had sat in that place and discussed the removal of at least 11,000,000 people from the world.
