Create an itinerary including Mauerpark
Established by city officials as a green space after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Mauerpark contains a piece of the former barrier between East and West Germany. Take a walk past traces of the Wall from Behmstrasse along Norwegerstrasste toward Bornholmer Strasse. You can also see remnants while walking along Bernhauser Strasse from Eberswalder Strasse in the direction of the Berlin Wall Memorial. At the memorial, peruse the flea market for vinyl records, East German memorabilia, or new and vintage fashion. Arrange your visit to Mauerpark and discover more family-friendly attractions in Berlin using our Berlin trip planning app.

  • It's dirty and kind of underground park... And should be more beautiful so you could enjoy it more. I can see only graffiti of no quality on everything and tall not maintained lawn Although nice birch grove. Nicely located next to bridge so yo can have long interesting walk over the railroad tracks. People gather there, arrange meetings
  • There is always something going on at this park, it has the element of surprise that creates an expectation. It's a great family park, with a playground, basket ball court and a lot of open fields for football, open mic artists or entertainers. There are also markets where you can walk around and peruse or do some shopping. I bought an antique pocket watch for 13 euros.
