Originally built as an Augustinian monastery, Lutherhalle/Lutherhaus now serves as the most important Protestant Reformation museum in Germany. Home of Martin Luther for most of his adult life--he moved here in 1508--this was the setting for his theological breakthroughs and conversion from monk to leader, as well as where he wrote his 95 theses. Explore Luther's room, the Grand Hall, and the lecture hall where Luther taught up to 400 students at a time. The history if this building was very interesting. Our tour guide was most knowledgable. It was well worth the stop.
